Each of the 16 lessons follows a three-part structure: READ (students read an assigned page range from the graphic novel, aloud, independently, or through character role-play), DISCUSS (teacher-led discussion with provided questions and anticipated student responses), and CREATE (a writing or drawing assignment). Every student finishes the program with an original creative writing project.
